Aberration's Bio.
Aberration started out very differently to what it is today. Dee Smith had been a drummer since childhood. Dee and three friends got to the stage every male teenager does and wanted to form a band. For guitar duties Tom Zornemann (recently acquiring a guitar and lessons) was an obvious choice for a member. Tom's best friend Liam Bradley also had a guitar and some ability on it so he became the 2nd guitarist. Because no one could play bass Sidge Rushton, ready to adopt whatever was left over, took up bass.
This was the original Aberration line up. Of course it had a few different names before Aberration but, because the other names were basically all shit, Dee and Sidge went looking through the dictionary and came up with the name Aberration.
Tom and Liam where members for about 2 years. That incarnation never ever gigged once. Aberration's sound was also very different sounding more like a 80's punk outfit than the prog funk/metal band of today.
Sidge and Dee soon got bored with the simplistic material and wanted to move on to more complex music but Liam and Tom preffered the more simple verse chorus verse type of song (Dee is a shit bag). These artistic differences made the group grow apart. Then one day Liam and Tom stopped talking to Sidge and Dee and we took that as their resignation.
Suddenly it became apparent through the offer of a gig Sidge and Dee were guitaristless. Refuge was found in Amy Collins who mangaged to learn 5 tracks in 3 days!
Amy was to be the guitarist of shortest membership. Having too much of a life to fit in rehearsal time and gigs the three of them realised it was not going to work. So Amy parted the band.
Once again Aberration had no guitarist; Sidge and Dee being the core members (and only members). It started to seem like Aberration's guitarists lasted about as long as Metallica bass players.
Then Dee proposed to Sidge that they try out Laura Costello (who had already had a short stint in the band) as the guitarist.
Laura worked out really well being the best guitarist ever to play with them. She helped create the famous “revels game”, which strikes fear into many people whenever mentioned. Laura has played numerous gigs with Aberration. Sidge is the current vocalist but Aberration are still looking for a proper singer.
The band gradually slipped into inactivity managing to only rehearse once the week before a gig on many occasions. This also involved us staying with the same set list for nearly a year. Because of this our performance gradually deteriorated and it became embarassing performing live. The root of the problem turned out to be Lauras availability for rehearsals. This unfortunately led to Sidge and Dee sacking Laura from the band.
Then we recruited our saviour, Sonny Govan to take up guitar duties at short notice. Sonny impressed Sidge and Dee (as well as most of our audience) with his sick ass crazy soloing aproach. This was unlike any other guitar player Aberration had had before. Prior to this the technical abilities of Sidge and Dee had been the focal point. Now the band had more balanced capabilities with the guitar acting as more of a lead instrument than a rhythm instrument as it had before.
Sonny has begun to take a more active role in the band getting gigs and having regular rehearsals as well as helping us in our search for a real singer and rhythm guitar player. The future looks promising "lets see how it pans out"! L

Well what i said above was pretty much bollox as Sonny left the band after a few months to form his own Death Metal band in the style of Finch.
Sidge and Dee were once again raped of a guitar player. This did not last long however as we found Kez a spritely young go-getter ready to join the band.
Kez brought some new angles to our sound as an accomplished keyboard player as well as being a great guitarist.Kez, unlike most our other guitarists, has written quite a few songs as well.
Lets see how it all pans out!
